YOUR LOVE STORY

James and I met at the age of 16, and there was an instant connection between us. The relationship was not always smooth sailing with a few on-again, off- again moments, but we were drawn to each other throughout all of those times as we had so much fun together and shared a group of close friends. Growing up like this so closely over the years, meant we became best friends before we officially started dating again in 2013 after a group trip to Europe. Since then our love story has matured just as we have to get us here today. We are teenage sweethearts, best friends, companions in life.

FINDIND YOUR DRESS

I have known what I wanted for my wedding gown for over 10 years. Going back through my oldest photos and pins, they are the same references I used when beginning the creation of my gown. One reference was a tiny, zoomed in photo of a beading reference that I absolutely adored, I could never find any other photos of what the dress or the beading looked like, but it stuck with me so strongly and formed the inspiration for my beading.

The final product has not ended up as a replica of those references, but something inspired by them that has taken on a new form that worked for me and my setting.

For my second gown, I wanted something that would bring the vibe for the evening and get the dance floor pumping, and it also had to be amazing enough for me to want to take off my first gown! Again, a fabric that was being used when I first started at KYHA many years ago had stuck with me, and I used it to inspire the beading for my gown.

There are small details that link the first and second gown, the small stars, which become bigger and more emphasized in the second gown, the beads used are similar, taking on a deeper and darker aesthetic in the second gown, but they tell a story together.

Bias aside, even if I didnt work for KYHA, there is no other designer I would consider going to for my gowns. Their aesthetic, craft and customer experience is at the center of everything they do, and it truly lives up to the expectation that this will be one of the best and most memorable times of your life.
