YOUR LOVE STORY
Benny and I met through a mutual friend during COVID. Later that week I popped my tyre and he came to the rescue. After thanking him with a case of beer and him inviting me in, the rest was history! We were engaged 18 months later and married 2 years after that. Im grateful every day for being a terrible driver and popping that tyre.
FINDING YOUR DRESS
Immediately after getting engaged, I knew I wanted to work with Kyha Studios.
I entrusted Kyha the task of creating both looks that felt like me. We worked for two years to create two bridal looks unique to my personal style. For the ceremony gown, a modern princess number featuring a body-forward, semi-sheer drop waist corset. My second look we prioritised fun. It was a beaded bralette accompanied by a bolero and fitted full length skirt! I felt incredible in both. I did not want the process to end.
THE NON-NEGOTIABLES
Fun! From upbeat music to cult favourite cocktails we ensured no stone was left unturned to provide a day full of fun for ourselves and guests. Espresso martinis with dessert was also a huge non-negotiable it gave everyone a little boost for the dancefloor!
A HIGHLIGHT FROM THE DAY
Getting ready with my favourite girls was too much fun. We sang, laughed and danced all morning! Having Kyha there to help me get into the dress was nothing short of surreal. And of course, saying I Do to Benny was the greatest highlight.
HONEYMOONING
Kauai and Maui! Staying at the 1 hotel in Kauai I have dreamt of this hotel forever!
A WORD OF ADVICE FOR BRIDES TO BE
Enjoy every moment. Dont take on the opinions of everyone around you - be confident in your style decisions and individuality. Trends come and go but feeling comfortable & yourself radiates beauty.
