This wedding was completely luscious and romantic. Glimpses of Claire and Yannicks Melbourne wedding gives way to a mixture of lush textures and tones. Deep purples and reds, set against the soft pleated chiffon of Claires custom designed KYHA wedding dress. This wedding oozed classic beauty.

WHEN AND HOW WE MET

We knew of each other from school originally. It wasnt until our final University projects were submitted that Yannick, like a gentleman asked me out to dinner. We have hardly spent a day a part since.

OUR WEDDING LOCATION

Many of our guests were flying in from interstate so we wanted a city venue with a lot of character. Siglo rooftop was perfect! It has a gorgeous view and was exactly our taste.

STYLE CONCEPT

I did all of the styling with Yannick. Our reception venue was white, and I knew I wanted a luscious, romantic feel for the flowers. I went with deep red, purple and pink seasonal flowers, hand painted gold vases and simple, hand made table decorations.

INSPIRATION

Pinterest is brilliant and Vogue has some amazing ideas.

I tried my hardest to stay away from too many blogs to avoid confusing myself and second guessing decisions.

THE BEST ADVICE I WAS GIVEN?

Be as happy and relaxed as possible on the day. Forget about any dramas youve had with catering/flowers and so on. Enjoy yourself! Also to not to drink too much before speeches!

WHAT WERE YOU NON NEGOTIABLE ON THE DAY?

Yannick had to have a cheese stack for our cake! We hand picked some amazing cheeses and I had to have amazing flowers!

HENS DAY

Wehad a Mexican themed Hucks (Hens + Bucks) night, which was really just a relaxed pre-wedding catch up with all our friends.

I found trying to find a style of dress I loved really difficult. I took my image ideas to Kyha and she was wonderful! We narrowed down a pretty extensive list together.

They were amazing. I wanted rich colours to offset the bright colour of my dress.

He is a family friend and did an amazing job.

GIFT REGISTORY

We went to Europe on our honeymoon so we put together a list of expenses that our friends and family could select for us that we could enjoy whilst over there.
