LOCATION
Coombe was one of the first venues we looked at and fell in love with the beauty of the property straight away! We always wanted to get married somewhere close to where we both grew up and the Yarra valley suited us perfectly.
YOUR LOVE STORY
Liam and I were best friends in high school before we started dating, which turned into the traditional high school sweetheart love story and we have been together ever since! Liam proposed at my favourite place in Cape Schank, on a weekend away that I had planned for us, so it's fair to say I was completely caught off guard when he popped the question!
FINDING YOUR DRESS
I always knew I wanted something simple but I didn't have anything in particular in mind! It wasn't until Kyha showed me the WASSILY gown that I knew I had found the one. I liked the idea of having a split on one side, so Kyha suggested we customise my gown!
Kyha and her team were incredible! They made my experience so enjoyable and so special.
THE INSPIRATION AND AESTHETIC FOR THE DAY
We wanted the aesthetic of our day to be timeless. We wanted things to be simple and elegant with a modern twist. Coombe is such a beautiful and romantic venue and once we had this locked in, we planned our day around complimenting its vibe.
FLOWERS & STYLING NOTES
For our florals we choose a predominantly, white and green colour palette with hints of blush throughout. We wanted something classic, yet modern, that would stand the test of time that would still be fashionable and beautiful when looking back in 10 years' time. Plenty of beautiful local roses ensured we nailed the classic vibe while a disco ball installation on the dance floor brought a modern, fun twist to things. Our styling was chosen to compliment the florals and ensure everything flowed from guests arriving, to the ceremony and lastly to the party on the dance floor.
A HIGHLIGHT
Dancing in the rain! It rained towards the end of the night and everyone embraced it and stayed outside on the dance floor until it was time to leave! Another highlight was during the ceremony when we had a moment to look out and see all of our closest family and friends in the same place at the same time. I was so nervous for the ceremony but I truly enjoyed every minute and will remember that feeling for the rest of my life.
A WORD OF ADVICE
I know it's a bit of a clich but try not to worry about the finer details and just enjoy it! It goes way to fast to be sweating the small stuff! It's the happiest day of your life.
