YOUR LOVE STORY

Frederic sent me a message on Facebook 10 years ago. I was not ready to commit to a new relationship right away so I made him wait and wait for a first date. We finally met for lunch and it was love at first sight - we havent left each others side since. We founded a company together in Canada and then decided to move to Paris, in the fashion capital to strengthen the image of our agency.

May 15 2020 was the first day of the Covid confinement and we were meeting with some friends on the banks of the Seine for a little picnic to celebrate our freedom. It was all staged as a little vintage boat was waiting for us in front of the Eiffel Tower and Frederic proposed. We then went on a little private cruise and I will forever remember this moment as we were the only boat to sail on La Seine at that time.

FINDING YOUR DRESS

While doing some research, I stumbled upon KYHA and I immediately fell in love with the simplicity and timelessness of their styles. Having a showroom in New York, I decided to fly to the city last summer to try out some dresses. I wanted a dress with a princess silhouette and q vintage-inspired bustier - which would remain in the same atmosphere and style of the museum where we were getting married. I had the Miles gown in mind and it was the first dress that I tried - it was absolutely perfect and didnt even need to try on any additional dresses. I love the hourglass shape of the corset with the slightly open neckline. The fabric silk taffeta and the skirt give the perfect maximalist side to this minimalist dress.

I wore my wedding dress (Miles gown) to church, to the cocktail party and to dinner at the museum. I changed into a shimmery, more form-fitting dress for the reveal cake. The Nile gown is sublime with these sequin details, a structured bodice and a fitted and flared skirt. It was very important for me to change the style of the dresses at every key moment. I also did my first dance with my husband in the Nile dress - she was glowing in the middle of the dance floor. Afterwards, I wanted to be sure that I could dance the night away and I chose the Enver gown. This sequin dress is bold with a very plunging neckline and a very original tulip skirt - it made a statement!

The civil wedding was simple and modern and I chose the Cameron gown which is minimalist with a flowing drape and an open back.

THE NON-NEGOTIABLES

An authentic and timeless venue, good music (we flew two of our favorite Djs from Montreal, Canada for the week-end) & good cocktails (Frederic is a pro somellier was wine & cocktails had to be on point).

A HIGHLIGHT FROM THE DAY

Probably the moment when I entered the church with my dad. I still have chills.

A WORD OF ADVICE FOR BRIDES TO BE

Start planning at early stage because there are so many small details that you dont anticipate and you dont want to feel the pressure at the last minute. Surrounding yourself with a great team is the key to a successful wedding.
