YOUR LOVE STORY

Tom and I met through friends and happily globetrotted the world for a few years before COVID struck and we spent practically every waking moment together in our small apartment in 2020! Luckily, that was the catalyst for a proposal in November 2020 and we eloped 5 months later in April 2021.

FINDING YOUR DRESS

Melbourne had just reopened after months and months of lockdown. We had locked in our wedding date but I had no dress, and only about 4 months to find one. I booked in at KYHA and took along three of my closest girlfriends. I didnt bother booking at other boutiques as I had a few in mind that I thought would be very me. I tried on about 5 dresses but the Lennox was 100% my style and classic vibe right from the get-go.

FLOWERS AND STYLING NOTES

I was after one piece of floral installation that wasnt the usual arbour or plinth. The team at Poppy Culture were ridiculously easy to work with and created a beautiful piece that sat on the table we signed our documents at, that trailed from the table to the ground and was then used for some portraits later that afternoon. I asked for fluffy and dense with no greenery and they really delivered on that with our pieces.

THE NON-NEGOTIABLES

We booked our wedding date around photographer Erin & Taras availability. I knew theyd capture our day incredibly well.

A HIGHLIGHT

The ceremony that our celebrant Erin put together was really special, and very focused on us. Because we eloped we had an incredibly relaxed day and felt very present for it.

A WORD OF ADVICE

Dont be afraid to do what is best for you both. There were a few grumbles from family and friends about us not having a traditional wedding, but we couldnt be happier with our decision.
