Our Brides

Annabele: A KYHA Bride

Charlie and I met at the Sorrento Pub the summer after I finished school. My sister knew Charlie through the Surf Lifesaving Club and likes to credit herself with introducing us!

Euroa Butter Factory

Charlies family have a farm near Euroa, and we love spending the weekends there. We would have liked to have had the wedding there, but it was all going to be a bit tricky. We had been to the Euroa Butter Factory a couple of times as they were setting up for weddings, and I remember thinking how beautiful and original it looked. Wed been to a lot of weddings in the past couple of years and wanted to have it somewhere a bit different.

We decided to have the wedding at the Butter Factory on the long weekend in March, so that we could have everyone back to the farm the next day. It was almost more fun that the actual wedding everyone was so relaxed and the weather was perfect for lying around on the lawn drinking Pimms, and playing lawn games. The Butter Factory has beautiful accommodation that we stayed in with the bridal party, and most of our guests stayed in and around Euroa for the weekend.

Creating Beautiful

Bree Lynch from Creating Beautiful did the styling for our wedding. The Euroa Butter Factory is such a beautiful old building with stunning gardens, so I wanted to keep it pretty simple. I didnt have a very specific style in mind and I knew that whatever Bree did would be beautiful, so I left most of it up to her. I was blown away when I saw the set up, it was stunning and exactly what I was hoping for.

Id always looked forward to trying on and choosing a wedding dress, but when the time came it was really overwhelming. I followed KYHA on Instagram so made an appointment with them first. I had an idea in mind but when I tried the style on it looked terrible! I went to one other bridal store that I had made an appointment with and they were really unhelpful, so I went back to KYHA. The girls were so lovely and made me feel at ease, and I ended up choosing a completely different style to what I thought I wanted. I was worried it was a little bit boring to begin with, but we changed a few things throughout the process (the lace, the sleeves and the split) and by the time it was finished it was a completely different dress. I absolutely loved it!

CELEBRANT: Ian BrockhousePHOTOGRAPHY: Erin & Tara

VIDEO: Zoe Coldham Videography

We werent going to have a video as Id gone over our budget pretty early on, but I asked a few people and it seemed that those who didnt have a video wished they had, and those that did really loved it. Zoe did the most beautiful wedding video for my cousin, so I emailed her quite late to find out if she was available to do our video, and she was! She was also really reasonably priced, so I was able to convince Charlie. Im so glad we changed our minds, Zoe did such a beautiful job and Ive been able to send it to our friends and family as a little snapshot of our day.

BAND: Good Faces 4 Radio

A friend of ours had Good Faces 4 Radio at their wedding a couple of years ago, and it was the best wedding dance floor by a mile! Charlie and I decided that night that when we get married one day, we should have them at our wedding! Dean also did an acoustic set for the ceremony that everyone raved about.

HAIR & MAKE UP: Dianna Osment

SHOES: Sophia Webster Evangaline + Windsor Smith

I was looking for a simple gold strappy sandal when I came across the Sophia Webster Evangaline sandals. The shoes were important to me because I knew they would actually be seen with the split in the dress. I loved that they were simple from the front, but then you could see the angel wings pop out as I walked. They were also rose gold, which matched my jewellery.

When I put them on at my final dress fitting they looked amazing until I did a practice walk! The wings were catching on the split in the dress and actually tore it. Luckily the girls fixed it on the spot but I knew I would be really nervous wearing them on the day. Brooke found a sample pair of Windsor Smith sandals that looked very similar from the front, so I raced out and bought them. I ended up wearing those for the ceremony and reception, and putting the Sophia Websters on for the photos.

BRIDESMAIDS: Rodeo Show + Saba

I had four bridesmaids my two sisters and two of my friends. I had wanted them to wear matching dresses but couldnt find one that they all loved, so we ended up with two dresses and two skirts in the same print. The dresses and skirts were Rodeo Show, and the camis were Saba.

GROOMSMEN: Do You Like My Bow Tie + Happy Socks

Charlie had four of his best friends as his groomsmen. One of them was married last year so they had all had dinner suits made, and fortunately they still fit! We had the bow ties and cufflinks made by Do You Like My Bow Tie, and matching polka dot socks by Happy Socks. Charlie was given his grandfathers cufflinks to wear, which were a gift from his granny to his grandfather on their wedding day the same weekend in 1950.

CAKE: Millstone

Alice Wright from Millstone made our wedding cakes for us. She is seriously incredible! We decided on three separate cakes, as it was easier to transport to Euroa.

Delegate as many jobs as you can to people you trust. I had such a stress free week leading up to the wedding because I had nothing left to organise!

Dont get too caught up in the little things, youre the only one that will notice if theyre not exactly right on the day.
